The Langham Huntington is a gorgeous historic hotel in a quiet neighborhood of stately homes. Opened in 1914, the hotel has a long tradition of luxury and has hosted countless and celebrated entertainers, writers, royalty, and political leaders. It is a perfect respite from the Los Angeles hubbub and just a few minutes from the quaint boutiques and restaurants of Old Pasadena.

The hotel offers 379 rooms, 36 suites, and 8 private cottages. All of the accommodations are spacious with lead-in rooms offering a bountiful 415-450 square feet. Our Lanai Room was exceptionally comfortable with two queen beds, a marble bath, and French doors opening to a balcony overlooking the pool. For guests wanting more privacy, the cottages are situated away from the main building near the herb garden and tennis courts. There is something for everyone at this treasured hotel.
Wine & Dine
The Langham Huntington provides a variety of food and beverage options on property although not all were in full service during our stay. The Hideaway is perfect for grab-and-go snacks and offers a full bar at the pool; The Terrace bistro overlooking the pool serves breakfast daily and dinner five nights per week; The Tap Room is a clubby cocktail lounge with innovative small plates nightly. The fine dining star is The Royce, a steak house for wood-fired USDA Prime, Australian Wagyu, and Japanese Kobe. Although it had not yet re-opened, the restaurant is gorgeous and sexy, warranting a stay all on its own!
Activities & Amenities
The wellness options at the hotel were plentiful from the centrally located pool with dedicated lap lane, whirlpools, two lighted tennis courts, a full gym, 12 room spa, and complimentary bicycles for exploring the beautiful neighborhood and nearby downtown. We didn’t manage to do it all during our weekend stay and look forward to returning during our next college visit. The Langham Huntington is conveniently located in Pasadena, close to top dining, shopping, sports venues and cultural attractions, most notably the Rose Bowl, the Norton Simon Museum and The Huntington Library, Art Collection and Botanical Gardens. It is also within easy reach of the many attractions and entertainment venues in downtown Los Angeles. Fly into any of the three nearby airports: Los Angeles (26 miles), Burbank (16 miles), or Ontario (36 miles).
